BALTIMORE, Md. (August 12, 2024) – Tiffany Mathador has been promoted to the role of Vice President and General Manager of the Domino® Sugar Baltimore Refinery, owned by American Sugar Refining, Inc., a member of ASR Group.
Mathador comes to Baltimore from New York, where she led the company’s Domino Sugar Yonkers Refinery as Plant Manager since 2022.
“Tiffany has proven herself to be a very capable leader with a strong track record of driving operational excellence,” said Kelly DeAngelo, Vice President of Operations for ASR Group. “She is widely respected by her colleagues, and we are thrilled to have her leading our team in Baltimore.”
Tiffany received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University. She gained experience at several manufacturers, including as Plant Manager with Post Holdings and Plant General Manager for Barton Brands of Kentucky, a division of the Sazerac Company. From 2016 to 2018, Tiffany served as Plant Manager at ASR Group’s Nashville Plant.

More than 40 vessels a year deliver up to 885,000 tons of raw sugar to the Baltimore Refinery, which has the capacity to refine it at a rate of more than six million pounds per day. The plant produces dozens of products and package sizes, ranging from 1-lb. boxes to 2,000-lb. totes.
The refinery, which employs more than 550 people and generates an additional 125 local jobs, continues to expand its capacity. Its four new finished sugar silos, which became operational last year, add 14 million pounds of additional finished sugar storage and improve its ability to serve customers.
