The 14th annual Toronto Waterfront Festival took place at Sugar Beach in September, drawing a crowd of around 41,000 attendees. Our company Redpath Sugar was the official entertainment sponsor for the event.
The Toronto Waterfront Festival celebrates the uniqueness of Toronto’s waterfront – our home of more than 65 years – with land and water programming. The festival showcases the history, culture and importance of water through nautical attractions, arts, culture and indigenous entertainment, music, food and interactive activities.
At our Redpath® booth, visitors enjoyed a variety of fun activities, prizes and sweet treats, including cotton candy and cookies made with our turbinado sugar. The booth featured engaging games like a cornhole toss, a rubber duck pond and photo opportunities with Divy, our vintage Redpath® truck. Festivalgoers also learned all about our Sustainably Sourced, Ethically Grown sugars.
“We have a proud history on the Toronto waterfront, so our sponsorship of the festival remains very meaningful for us,” said Ashley Black, Brand Development Manager. “As we celebrate our 65th anniversary on the waterfront, we were excited to interact with so many in our community and teach them how we continue our legacy of crafting Redpath Sugar right here in downtown Toronto.”
Beyond our booth, the festival offered a range of other attractions, from live performances by emerging artists to exciting pop-up entertainment. Attendees could even explore a pirate ship, meet members of the Canadian Armed Forces and snap selfies with a 10-foot baby rubber duck named Lucky.
With so many family-friendly activities, crafts and giveaways, the festival was an event to remember, and we were proud to be part of it once again.
