We were delighted to join the Crockett Museum and Historical Society for a special history talk on October 19, celebrating the deep connection between our C&H® Sugar Crockett Refinery and the town we have called home since 1906.
Warehouse Manager Brad Botelho and Maintenance Supervisor Levi Cook presented on the history of our refinery, the sugar making process and how our 490 talented employees continue our legacy of making C&H® Sugar in Crockett. The event drew 50 members of the community, many of whom shared personal stories about how C&H has touched their lives, including family members who worked at the plant over the generations.
“It was a pleasure to share our story with our neighbors and to hear their own stories of how much C&H means to them,” said Brad. “Not every company is as closely tied to its hometown as we are, and it was a privilege to experience that connection with our community at the Museum.”

We recently celebrated this connection through a series of limited-edition C&H sugar packets featuring Crockett landmarks, including the Crockett Museum, printed on one side and our “C&H Pure Cane Sugar” sign on the back, which our employees distributed to local restaurants and organizations.
We are proud to support the Crockett Museum and Historical Society and its mission of helping preserve and share the town’s unique history through unique exhibits and artifacts. In addition to maintaining and investing in improvements to the Museum, we are happy to support numerous local nonprofits, including the Carquinez Regional Environmental Education Center (CREEC), Carquinez Women’s Club, Crockett-Carquinez Fire Protection District, Crockett Improvement Association, John Swett High School, John Swett Education Foundation, Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano and more. Each year, we also sponsor the town’s annual Sugartown Festival and Oktoberfest.
